Alarm.com camera CSVR

Hi support team, I’m in the planning stages of a new camera system. I couldn’t find a ADC CSVR listed in your products - is it ok if we use one with your monitoring service?

Something likd ADC-CSVR2116P-6TB Pro Series CSVR with 16 Built-In PoE Ports (6TB HDD). With VC727P cameras outside the home.

Yes, while we do not sell that model it is compatible with our Complete and Protect plans.

Yes, it will work. I had the 8 port version of this and worked perfect.

Thanks Jason. I’m assuming that having the ADC CSVR will provide longer history and continuous recording.

How would that compare with having stand alone cameras & micro SD storage in each camera. Would the micro SD recordings be accessible through the mobile app, and recycled when space is required? I see there is a limit to monthly clip recordings, are those only accessible for 1 month? I presume this is saved on cloud storage.

The CSVR or SD card onboard option both provide 24/7 video recording. Depending on how many cameras you have and how big the storage of the CSVR is, you may have longer storage capability on the CSVR.

In either case, video is accessed through the Alarm.com app or website, and the oldest video is recycled to make space for new recording.

How much video can be stored depends on video settings as well. See the example guide below:

Cloud clip storage is separate from CSVR or SD card storage. A guide on how cloud video clip storage works is linked below:
