I have three ADC-VC847PF Pro Series 1080p Dome PoE Cameras. Two are working fine, but the third has stopped responding after previously working for many months.
All three cameras are mounted outside and receive power over ethernet. I have already troubleshooted and confirmed all PoE cables are capable of transmitting power / data and the connections look good and test well. So the problem is related to the camera itself, not the wiring or connection with my system.
The problematic camera does not light up when connected to a powered ethernet cable. Please advise on whether there are any other troubleshooting steps I should take or how to get a warranty replacement of the camera.
To confirm, what is the name of the camera in programming?
Power cycle the camera, leave it off for about 5 minutes, the re-apply power. Any change? If you have a compatible 12v power supply, try this as well.
Otherwise, you may need to factory reset the camera, delete it from Alarm.com, then reconnect. Steps on how to Factory Reset the camera can be found here.
After factory reset, does the camera LED light up?

I don’t understand what you’re asking. Do you mean the name I gave the camera? If so, it is “Back Camera.”

The steps I took to complete this were to remove the PoE cable from the camera, let it stand for 5 min, then plug it back in. No change to the camera. No indication it was recognizing the power being supplied. Please advise if you were referring to a different power cycling process.
You may need to factory reset the camera, delete it from Alarm.com, then reconnect. Steps on how to Factory Reset the camera can be found here.

I was about to perform the factory reset according to the steps in the above link, but they begin with the notice saying " Important: Wait at least 2 minutes for the video device to power on fully before performing the following procedure. The factory reset might fail if the device is still powering on."
My camera does not power on at all so how am I supposed to proceed with the rest of the steps?
Understood. thank you for clarifying. I have nonetheless still attempted the factory reset procedure and nothing changed. No lights came on for the camera.
Can you advise on the warranty replacement process for ADC equipment? I’ve looked at their website and it seems like everything needs to go through one of their service partners
Warranty would go through the vendor the device was purchased from. Its typically one year. You will need an Alarm.com Ticket ID as a part of the process. I am happy to get one for you so you can get that process started. It might take a bit depending on how busy Alarm.com is. I will follow up via private message once I have the number.
I will say I’m disappointed that the equipment warranty is only 1 year, since ADC markets itself as a premium provider and I would hope that they’d stand behind their products. At ~$300 per camera, I expect it to function without defect for 5+ years, not barely over 1 year…
