2gig cam hd100

Hi s0 I have a two gig camera. I just purchased it. I’m trying to pair it with Alarm.com but it doesn’t seem to want to pair. It is a two gig cam HD 100 and I have an active account. I’ve tried every way. Is there any way y’all could help me thank you

Certainly!

You will need to use the ETH MAC address when adding an HD100 to your Alarm.com account. Instructions for adding a camera to Alarm.com can be found in this guide

Are you getting any error messages when trying to add the cameras?

No but I have tried again and it still is not working I will try again later

(Image removed)

If you’re using the app to install it, try using the Alarm.com website instead. It tends to give more detailed error messages than the app.

Ok Ty

I’ve removed the image you posted, as it included the Mac address.

There should be an LED on the camera that will indicate its status. What color is it? Is it blinking or solid?

I just keeps reverting back to blinking red after it tries to get through the setup process

I’m trying it again and I’m also gonna use a new cord and it’s still blinking red

Blinking red might mean it can’t connect to WiFi.

I’ve even tried WSP and ethernet, but it still won’t work and this is the message I get on my laptop

The next step I would try is resetting the camera to factory defaults.

Press and hold the B button until the camera LED changes to yellow, then release.

Allow the camera time to reset and reboot, and then try to connect it again. Any change?

I’ve already tried that, but I’ll try again

hi so that still didn’t work is it OK if I leave the ethernet cord in while it’s rebooting

Yes, that’s fine. They recommend connecting the ethernet cord while the camera is powered off.

Was the camera on when you tried ethernet the first time?

no

The 2GIG HD100 is an old camera model that’s been discontinued for a long time. It should still work but do you know that specific camera works? If you bought it used, it’s possible that it has bad firmware or is defective. Generally, I’d recommend the indoor mini Alarm.com camera instead.

Is it blinking red rapidly or slowly?

It’s rapidly blinking red

Rapidly blinking red indicates that the camera can’t get an IP address from the DHCP server in your router. Given that you’ve tried wired ethernet, I suspect the problem is with your router settings. It doesn’t seem to be letting the camera connect to the network and assigning it an IP address.

Just about all routers have DHCP enabled by default. Is there any chance you manually manage your network and assign IP addresses to devices? That would be unusual but possible.

If it’s slow blinking red that just means it can’t connect to the network at all.

Let me insert a video of it and if you could tell me then that would be a lot of help
