Seems Zwave is well on its wave to being an approved standard for security sensors.

Always expected to see this occur. It’ll be interesting to see the industry response, though I would guess that it will be an uphill battle for it to become the standard.
UL listing is not the only stumbling block. I think communication range would need to be greatly improved, as the standard professional installation is fairly small (mostly for cost mitigation), composed mainly of battery operated devices that, as of now, wouldn’t repeat signals.
