I picked up a Wink WNK-SIR1P z-wave siren & chime and successfully paired it with my 2gig GC2 panel. I can turn the siren on and off manually via the panel, but when I trip the alarm system, the panel’s built-in siren/sounder activates, but the z-wave siren does not. How do I get the z-wave siren to activate along with the panel’s built-in siren/sounder?
I’m not seeing a Surety subscription tied to your username so I can’t confirm this with any system data, but it sounds like that device is paired as a binary switch, not a siren.
A Z-wave siren that is compatible with the system, such as a Fortrezz, will automatically follow the internal panel siren. There is no configuration or automation rules required.
I’ve never used that model of siren. For troubleshooting you can try deleting and re-adding it to the panel, but it is likely just not supported by the panel. The “& Chime” part of the description is suspect in this case, as dual function devices with customizable parameters are generally not supported.
If you can create automation rules for it in Alarm.com, you can try to control it via the Open Collector on the 2GIG panel. Here is a video showing what I mean using lights and a keyfob. The open collector can instead be programmed to activate on alarms.
