The pairing process appears to not have been completely successful.
Make sure panel and primary controller are within a few feet during connection process.
The alarm panel must be learned in as secondary near the primary panel, and stay there, for 5-10 minutes.
I am pairing panel with the primary controller again. This time both the controllers are close to each other.
I will update.
After repairing other sensors are still not showing up.
What should I do?
After repairing other sensors are still not showing up.
What devices and how many of them are you anticipating?
What models of Z-wave devices do you have that are not showing on Alarm.com? You mention sensors, keep in mind Z-wave sensors are not compatible with any Alarm.com alarm system at this time. Sensor type devices must use the panel’s security and life safety radio rf. In the case of 2GIG that is 345 mhz honeywell.
I have 10 Monoprice brand windows and doors sensors and Schlage lock. All showing up in SmartThings.
Are you saying that 2GIG panel is not Z-Wave compatible?
Z-wave door/window sensors are not supported. No Alarm.com alarm panel supports Z-wave sensors.
The 2GIG panel’s Z-wave radio is used for automation devices like Lights, Locks, Thermostats.
Door/window sensors, motion sensors, glass breaks, smoke detectors, etc., must be 345 mhz sensors, not Z-wave.
The lock would be compatible, and I do see a lock listed in your equipment however it states that it has not completed secure enrollment. We are sending a command to see if we can get a response from the lock.
If it does not resolve the issue, a good next step may be to remove and repair the lock to its primary controller first. The issue may be between the two controllers instead, but it would be good to give it a fresh try.
To me it looks like I wasted money on Z-Wave Sensors.
Can you recommend any panel that is compatible with Z-Wave Sensors and Alarm.com?
No Alarm.com alarm panel supports Z-wave sensors.
There are no Alarm.com compatible alarm panels that utilize Z-wave sensors. I’m not aware of any major market panel that does. Z-wave was only very recently certified for security use and there are still many issues with its implementation. While standard RF sensors have a relatively large range, Z-wave has a very short range by comparison, and must rely on repeating nodes to communicate effectively with a central panel. They are simply not as reliable as they need to be yet.
If these Z-wave door sensors were recently purchased and you do not have an additional use for them I would recommend contacting the seller to see if they can be returned.
