Hello, had a question. I’m trying to determine if there are Z-Wave compatible dry contact relays that work with the Qolsys IQ 4. The reason I ask is that I’m looking for a gate lock that I can control that way. I have found a lock that I have confirmed will support unlocking with a dry contact relay, but want to determine if there are any known that are compatible with the panel.
Yes. My favorite is the Zooz ZEN58 relay. It is low voltage needing 9-40v ac or dc to power it. It is a dry contact relay and has dry switch input as well. (Actually 3.3vdc)
As an added bonus, the switch input appears in Alarm.com as a scene controller so you have lots of flexibility with a very small unit.
Also available is the Shelly Wave 1. Same dry contact, runs on 12vdc, 110-220vac, or 24-48vdc. Switch input is wet, however and I don’t remember if it appears as a scene controller (not that you wanted that anyway!)
If you want/need Zooz that accepts line voltage the zen51 may work in your case as well. Dry contact on output, wet switch input.
The caveat is that these will show up on the panel and in ADC as a light switch. But you can set auto off parameters in them to make it act more like a momentary switch rather than a latching on/off to your external controller.
These are units I’ve personally used with success.
