I just upgraded to an IQ Panel 4 and was able to get all the sensors, including the existing Take-345, programmed in (I have not yet wall-mounted the panel/wired it in). However, I also have a wired DSC SD-15WULF siren and the IQ Panel does not have the terminals for it. Can the siren be wired through the Take-345? I’m assuming/hoping so since I see that it likely could with the powerg wired-to-wireless module (Eventually I’ll replace the Take-345 with the PowerG equivalent, but not right now).
I don’t think you can control a wired siren with a Take-345. It can transmit but it can’t receive signals.
The PowerG hardwire on the other hand can receive signals from the panel when the alarm goes off.
As a temporary solution you might be able to do something with a z-wave switch/relay and DC power supply to power the siren. I’ve never tried it though.
The 2GIG TAKE-345 does not have any way of controlling a wired siren.
You could use the Hardwire PowerG translator instead, it does support siren activation. That would be the route I would recommend.
Thanks!
