I have several wired and interconnected smoke / CO detectors that are nearing EOL and starting to false alarm. Are there replacements i could install that would integrate with my alarm.com system?
I also have 2 wireless smoke / CO detectors already integrated with Alarm.com, but they are also approaching EOL, so hoping to find a wired solution that could replace everything.
It looks like you are using Concord 4 panel, is that correct? Are those wired smoke detectors AC powered?
The house line voltage interconnected smoke detectors, if that is what you have, would need to be replaced with other AC interconnected smoke detectors required by code.
There are no AC models that directly communicate with the panel, but there is a Firefighter audio detector that monitors that whole circuit of wired smoke detectors:
It is just mounted by one of the smoke detectors and since they are interconnected, when any go off, the Firefighter alerts the panel.
Are those wireless ones installed over locations where AC smoke detectors were removed?
the current ac interconnected units are completely separate from the alarm system.
Our house was built in 2018 so we have ac units on every floor and in each bedroom.
We added 2 wireless units that connect to the alarm system but they do not react the ac units. One wireless unit is in the basement and one is on the second floor. Each one is located next to an AC device.
i will just find suitable replacement ac devices. And consider that add on box to connect to the alarm system when my current wireless device age out.
