Which service plan is appropriate?

Hello Surety Support,

Let me start with the background information.

I recently moved to a new home and the prior property owner installed IQ 2+ in the laundry room linked to thermostats, several door/windows locks, and IQ 2+ panel camera.
After some research, I realized that I need to create Alarm.com account from a service provider such as Surety Home to get mobile access to IQ 2+ panel and its associated sensors/camera (please correct me if I am wrong).

In addition, the door bell at the front door branded “Sky Bell HD” is linked to Alarm.com, so I am advised from Sky Bell that I can access to the door bell only through Alarm.com not through their proprietary mobile app. This is another factor to consider when I select the plan.

My question is what plan(s) among Surety’s are available to me. I just want to get notifications from those sensors/cameras on my mobile phone with self-monitoring. This means I don’t need professional monitoring services. In addition, I don’t need remote arming/disarming feature.

Please recommend available plans for me. Any comments would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Jake

Plans and features are described below. If you do not plan on needing to arm/disarm or get alarm notifications, you could use the Automate plan and add Doorbell Camera access after activation.

If you want to get notifications of alarms from Alarm.com, the Alarm or Home plan would be needed. Alarm.com notifications of alarm conditions and remote arming/disarming come together as an option.

Hello Jason,

Thank you for the quick response. I appreciate it.

If I am correctly understood, I need “Surety Home” rather than “Surety Alarm” because I have garage door opener, a few window/door locks, and thermostat attached to IQ Panel 2+. It seems the Surety Alarm doesn’t cover those devices. Please confirm whether I am correctly understood.

In addition, I agree with you regarding the door-bell only video option to cover “Sky Bell HD”.

All in all, I can get mobile notifications through Alarm.com with $20/month ($17/month from the Surety Home w/ self-monitor and $3/month of Door-bell Only Video).

Please let me advised if you’re seeing additional costs to be incurred.

Thank you,

Jake

Correct. That would be the total for those service features. Doorbell service add-on could be added after activation of your system, within our system manager.

Sales tax may apply to service payments depending on your location.

Hello Jason,

Thank you for the prompt response. I think I am almost done.

Two questions come to my mind.

One is whether the Surety Home comes with a contract for a certain period time or just month-to-month?

The other is about a technical support. Can I get technical supports once I activate the service plan such as setting up the IQ panel and adding new sensors through Support Site?

Thank you in advance,

Jake

All service plans are month to month.

Surety technical support is performed online, primarily here through our support website.

Device installation and programming is performed by you. We can assist with step by step guides and troubleshooting.
