Which Cellular Module for 2GIG GC3 ?

Either cellular module will work in my area. However, I see that the Verizon LTE is a bit more expensive than the AT&T Cell Sled. What are the benefits of the Verizon LTE module vs. the AT&T module assuming both have adequate cellular coverage.

Are there any benefits of going with LTE in terms of the way that the system interacts with other smart devices in the home or otherwise?

Please advise. Thanks.

Happy to assist!

Assuming coverage is equal, the benefits of the 4G LTE would depend on the equipment you have and intended use a bit.

LTE data speeds will cut latency that some have experienced with 3G modules, but if you utilize dual path wifi, this is a non-issue.

If utilizing Image Sensors, images are only sent via cell, so they would always be impacted.

In general you are future-proofing the system by going with the LTE. As cellular networks reallocate resources there will eventually be a 3G sunset for AT&T, so for new systems, going with LTE is the best idea as long as coverage in your area is solid.

You can use this Coverage Check Tool for coverage information in your area.

Additionally, the cellular module will not affect how Z-Wave devices communicate with one another. To increase the effectiveness of Z-Wave, you would want to increase the strength of your Z-Wave mesh network.
