My Qolsys panel 4 always shows Chances of Thunderstorm.
I have the complete program and turned on the weather update.
Any idea what’s going on there?
I’ve sent some commands to sync the weather on your system. Is the weather still out of date on the panel?
It’s the same.
Clear skies out here and it always says chances for thunderstorm.
Also - is this how it works? Someone needs to send a command to update the weather every time?
No, Alarm.com automatically sends the weather info to the panel on a daily basis. It should not need to be sent over manually.
I show that your system’s firmware is outdated. Could you please update the panel to the latest firmware and see if that resolves the issue?

After updating the weather is still the same
Now that the system is up to date, I’ve sent commands to update the weather again. Any change?
If not, could you please tap on the weather icon and send a photo of the forecast?
Ah, I see the issue. The National Weather Service forecasted a slight chance of thunderstorms in your area. Alarm.com pulls their forecast information directly from the National Weather Service.
You can see the National Weather Service’s forecast on Weather.gov to check the accuracy of the weather on your system.

Is there a way to remove the weather forecast from the screen saver?
It always seems off a bit.
If it is being used as the screen saver, you can change it with the following steps.
- Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap Photo Frame
- Tap Settings
- Tap Display Type and select the desired display type
