Want to take over an old Gemini napco panel

So I would unplug the wires going into the current secondary keypads and plug them into The 9309s ?

So I looked deeper into behind the two keypads and I’m just going to assume that there’s four zones on each keypad. Should I return the equipment I purchased from surety and just get a cell radio for this old system? The PG13 09 is probably wouldn’t work. I would need eight of them total to keep a 16 zone setup in this home

You would need 4 PG9309 as there are two available hardwired zones on each. You would also need to make the hole a bit bigger to be able to insert the sensors inside.

Alarm.com does not make a cellular communicator for your current panel.

Based on the wiring I see at the panel, you may be able to get the wires from the keypads to the panel but I feel like it may cause issues with false alarms. I feel like the best way to go would be to put PG9309’s behind the keypads.

From our return policy, orders may be returned within 30 days of purchase only if equipment is in full working order with no visible damage or wear-and-tear and is returned complete, with all parts and accessories including mounting hardware and tape, in the undamaged original packaging. A restocking fee may be applied for returned items that do not meet this criteria.

Items can no longer be returned after they have been physically mounted/installed as this permanently modifies them with screw holes and/or mounting tape, etc

In order to get started with the return, please provide the following information for each item:

  1. Condition of the item, Opened/Unopened. If opened:
  • Is there any visible damage?
  • Are any parts or accessories missing?
  • Has it been physically mounted/installed?
  1. Serial number from the item:
  • For alarm panels or cellular modules provide the serial number and the 15-digit IMEI
  • For Video Devices, provide the MAC address
  • For all wireless sensors provide the serial number and Sensor ID
  • For all other items, provide the serial number.

Feel free to take a clear picture of this information from the packaging and submit it in reply. This should be done in as few photos as possible.

Once we have that information, we can get the RMA process started.

When you say 4 pg9309s you mean two behind each keypad so they can do two zones each on each keypad totaling 8 zones?

As for the return, I haven’t even opened the UPS box yet it’s still sealed

That is correct. 2 zones on each PG9309. 4 zones behind each keypad total 8 zones.

Can you please provide the IMEI of the panel and serial numbers of the other products

Thank you

If I can manage to hook up the iq4 panel and the power g then I should be able to manage 4 pg as long as the hole is bigger correct?

As for if I decide to return you want me to unseal the box it came in to get the serials?

Yes, it would be to disconnect them from the wires on the keypad. You may need to strip the wire, and then use a precision screwdriver to tie it down on the PG9309. The wiring will look like this. The ground/common being shared by both zones followed by zone 1 and zone 2

Yes, distribution requires the serial numbers of the devices and IMEI of the panel so we can process the return.
