Voice on adc v515

Does the adc indoor camera support 2 way voice? I can’t seem to find how to activate it.

For clarity, Two Way Voice typically refers to communication through your alarm panel with monitoring operators during an alarm.

With regard to Alarm.com cameras, the term Two Way Audio is used to differentiate it. That refers to communication through the camera using the Alarm.com app.

Yes, the V515 supports two way audio. This is simply a feature of it which is accessible in the app with a V515 on your account. Video device audio is automatically enabled as an option if you have any video plan add-on.

I installed one at my brothers house and when accessing the feed through adc app, there is no way to talk through the app like one would from a sky bell or othe vdb. I read somewhere online that the 2 way voice feature was disable in an update made to the camera. So I just wanted to know if it still is available?

I’m not aware of any change to the 515 audio, and ADC documentation doesn’t reference any change that I can find.

So that I can assist with clarification of something read online, please provide the link to the article.

Video device audio is a service plan feature. If that individual does not use Surety they would need to contact their provider for info on whether or not they have audio support in their plan.

Yeah he doesn’t have surety, I believe it’s with brinks, but I couldn’t find the voice button when I installed the camera so I figured I’d ask for him. Here is the link I found mentioning the ability to turn it off. So that wording just makes me believe that it is more something with brinks than the device or adc for that matter.

Yeah that is just allowing it to be toggled on and off. He would need to contact his provider to make sure that is enabled on his plan and camera.
