Hey Surety Team,

I know the VDB780B has a PIR in it for motion detection but is it still using Video Analytics like the 770 does to filter out nuisance alerts or is it back to the older VMD style detection? is can I tell it only to look for people and vehicles and not the neighborhood skunk when it walks through my yard at 2AM? Just wanted to verify before I purchased one. Also will it notify me of this motion without someone pushing the button like the 770? I know that might be a stupid question but just double-checking before I drop that dough on one of the doorbells Thanks!

It uses Video Analytics. Yep, you can set up motion analytics recording and be notified when a person is detected like the 770.

VMD was discontinued for new users as of February.
