VDB770 stopped recording - reset it and now can't add rule

My VDB770 live view was working fine but it wasn’t following the automation rule set up for it all of a sudden. I reset it and reconnected to WiFi which removed the rule. Live view works still, but when I try to re add the rule, I get a ‘Failed to update the camera. Make sure the camera is connected to power and the network.’ error on both phone and web.

I did try two different networks (5g and 2.4g, the whole alarm system is on 2.4g for distance purposes).

I see that camera has an install date in 2022. By reset do you mean a reboot/power cycle?

If you have not yet, try rebooting the router.

If a reboot of the camera and router results in the same issue, I would recommend deleting that camera from Alarm.com under the video > settings > video device info page, wait 10 minutes, and relearn it. Try creating a recording rule. Does that resolve the issue?

I thought I ‘reset’ it but I think I was following some wrong directions for an older doorbell. Ended up doing a factory reset and deleting/reinstalling from scratch. Seems good now, thanks!
