The other night the camera started to make a humming sound out the speaker. But it still worked. It got so hot you couldn’t even touch it.
I wasn’t home so my wife pulled it off and I was going to deal with it later.
I pulled the battery to see if it would work since I don’t have a chime. But apparently the video streams have an issue with no battery connected. I get the button push notification and motion alerts. I’ve tested both with the USB and the wall plate. I’m also getting 18.5V from the transformer.
After having it plugged in the house with the usb and battery, it got super hot and started to buzz again.
It’s on the older 02203 firmware and won’t let me manually update to 02234.
Does the battery on the back look like it may be swollen a little? This may be what is causing issues with the doorbell.
I tried running an AC check but it displayed that it did not have enough AC to finish the test. Can you send a picture of the transformer used to power the doorbell? It should be minimum voltage of 16VAC and 10VA
I see that the 02203 firmware is a general release while the 02234 is an in progress release so I wouldn’t try updating the firmware to it.
