I just replaced a SkyBell HD video doorbell with a VDB770 and am having a couple of issues:
My chime is now humming. I understand this may be due to the doorbell running a bit of power and causing the chime’s plunger to vibrate and make noise. If I touch the chime, it stops making noise so the vibrating is is causing it, but it and the little white ADT module I installed as part of theof the doorbell installation is warm to the touch. How do I get it to stop buzzing? Is this warmth normal and/or safe?
I am not able to connect the doorbell to my alarm.com account. When I was following the setup steps, I went up the website to add it but it said something to the effect of that the device couldn’t be added because my plan doesn’t support video analytics? My doorbell LED has now changed from green to red and no longer rings my chime. Please advise.

There are a few things to look at. First, what are the power specs of the doorbell transformer you are using?
Let me know the VAC and VA rating of the transformer, or post a photo of the transformer where this is labeled.
What model of chime are you using?
If you temporarily power the VDB770 from a 5VDC micro USB power supply does the LED show green?

It looks like you have the old version of the ADC video add-on which does not support video analytics. The newer version is $5/month instead of $4, and includes analytics. It would be necessary to update to use the VDB770. Would you like me to update your plan now?
