I bought a doorbell second hand, and it is missing a few small parts. First is the 2 plastic trim pieces at the top and bottom of the back (pictured). Second are the ring wire terminals for connecting up to the existing wiring.
Does anyone know where to find replacement pieces? Alarm.com support said contact my dealer. Maybe they could be 3D printed? The wiring I figured I could just find at lowes or something.
Alarm.com doesnt offer any of the parts/accessories separately unfortunately. If you can’t return that VDB770, your best bet is to source parts from a third party like eBay.
The whole backplate is missing pieces to it as well (broken) which may negatively impact the doorbells use overall
Yeah I think we might be talking about the same pieces? It’s kind of hard to tell exactly what I’m missing because I can’t find pictures of all of the parts disassembled.
Edit: I did find this FCC tear down but it doesn’t show the mounting plate
It came with the angled mounting brackets and white power square. Just not the back plate. I didn’t realize that it was a whole functional plate that missing, just figure it was two pieces of plastic. Looks like I’m gonna return this one.
No problem! Yeah im not sure what happened there but the back plate tabs in at the bottom edge of the camera body. My assumption here is that the camera was removed incorrectly from the back plate, and the end came off. The ends screw on to the inner part of the back plate.
The backplate also has weather striping to keep out dust debris and some water.
