V622 camera calibration

I am trying to calibrate a V622 camera in my home office so I can record motion. However it won’t calibrate. I tried using both the app and the website and neither approach works.

Is the camera incompatible with video analytics? How do i record motion?

The issue may be I am not getting good enough calibration images since my office is small (12 foot by 12 foot with a big desk in the middle)

Yes, the V622 is compatible with analytics.

This is possibly the issue. Video analytics works by tracking objects and their interaction with the ground across ground zones or trip wires. If the image does not contain enough of the room it may be difficult to calbrate. Alarm.com recommends a person’s entire body be in the frame for calibration shots.

Where is the camera in the room? Can you send a PM with a screenshot of what the camera sees? I can try to suggest adjustments.

I reinstalled the camera in a different room and was able to calibrate it fine.

For these smaller rooms the calibration method which involves the sliding scale and the small medium large balloons is the better method. But I don’t know if that’s an option on the V622. The V523 did that,

That said I have another V622 in the mail which I will want to use in my office so will have to deal with his issue later. Can I calibrate the camera in a different room and move it?

Alarm.com confirmed that you are not able to calibrate the camera any other way. They also mentioned you can try calibrating the camera in a different area and placing it in the office but it may not be accurate. It is always best to calibrate the camera at the final location.
