Yep, IP cameras would need to be Alarm.com cameras with the proper firmware. The Hikvision models listed would not be compatible with ADC.
As mentioned above, you could use pretty much any analog cameras with a video server, but resolution is capped lower doing that. Looks like the models you are looking at are of much higher specs.
Thanks for all the responses. Just wish the ADC POE cams offered higher resolutions. Looks like I’ll have to separate the two, Alarm.com thru suretyDIY for everything else but Video services & monitoring (I live in FL) and use a different app for the video feed.
The resolutions on the 820/720 are pretty good IMO. I have a bunch of them

It sounds like you intend to get 24/7 professional monitoring as well? In that case just to clarify, you wouldn’t be able to use monitoring using Alarm.com cellular and an Alarm.com interactive account through two different dealers.
If you did not want to self monitor the Alarm.com account and monitoring would have to be through the same company.

I agree. Plus many common cloud video services will charge based on data size, which takes into account resolution, framerate, compression, etc., rather than ADC’s flat clip totals.
With ADC you are able to max out the quality and resolution without being punished with a higher price.
