Usefulness of "Scenes"

It appears to me that the true usefulness of “Scenes” is not realized unless there are some Home Automation devices on the system. If the system is predominantly used for basic security “Scenes” don’t offer any greater benefit than the basic system conditions of Disarmed, Armed Stay, Armed Away. Is this a reasonable assessment or is there something I’m missing?

Correct, scenes are an automation tool and the majority of commands you would group together and perform with scenes are with automation devices such as lights, locks, thermostats, garage doors, water valves, Sonos or Legrand speakers, etc.

OK - Thanks. At this time Scenes is disabled in installer/dealer settings (system defaulted to that condition), and I have edited out any activity in the 4 basic scenes that came with the system. No Scenes are displayed on the Panel but I continue to see them represented on my Alarm.com Home screen. While it is absolutely not a big deal I’d like to reduce the home screen clutter by eliminating the Scene icons. As I say, this is not a high priority issue, but if it can be done I’d like to know how. Thanks for all your help.

Scroll to the bottom of the mobile app home page. There should be a button “Edit Dashboard” You can Enable/Disable and move the cards from there.
