Use a PowerG smoke detectors as a Siren on an IQ Panel

Sometimes the built in siren on your IQ Panel is not loud enough for your entire home. You can dictate whether your PowerG smoke detectors sound only for fire emergencies or act as universal wireless sirens for all household alarms.

  1. Swipe down from the main page

  2. Select Settings

  3. Select Advanced Settings

  4. Enter the Installer or Dealer code.

  5. Select Installation

  6. Select Sirens and Alarms.

  7. Locate PowerG Smoke Detector Siren and choose your preferred setting:

    • Fire Alarms Only (Default): The smoke detector siren sounds exclusively during verified fire or smoke events.
    • All Alarms: The smoke detector acts as an extra wireless siren booster and will sound for non-fire events like burglary or auxiliary alarms as well
