Unable to Update Cam Settings

Always had good luck asking for help here on general ADC questions, but oddly on the ADC website as of the other day I can’t edit the Camera’s IP settings…the “advanced networking” page is just not even loading anything and appears to re-direct to the overview page. I also noticed the live settings are all grey’d out now too for all of the cameras except the doorbell. Yet all the cameras are online and streaming…

Is this an issue on ADC’s end?

The test button and refresh button do nothing but they are checking in with DDNS on the overview page…it’s a bit like the website is broken

It definately appears to be an issue with their page…but how do you even report that to them? The buttons are “undefined” and the page appears to be a “v2” version so maybe they are updating it but how can we report the actual website page issues to them?

You can send general reports and questions to info@alarm.com but I would recommend also reporting to your dealer so that they can assist and report to ADC if you have not already.

That said, I just checked my cameras and I am noticing the same thing for the advanced network settings. Looks like they may have an error in the page causing the data to fail.

Regarding the live video settings page, that would be a separate thing. Do you have those cameras connected to an SVR?

Hey Jason thanks for verifying my find on the page error I see the same thing for network settings and I’ll email them as well as my dealer. That was great to have someone else validate it.

Video quality some of them are on an SVR but others are not and they are all showing the same as greyed out. Guess I can email them with that too as it would make sense on the SVR attached cameras.

Hopefully you email them as well regarding the page error on the network settings too that’s definitely broken but wasn’t a couple weeks ago as I was adjusting some networking settings for testing.

I just emailed them on both and CC’d my dealer so he can let other clients know about the settings issue at least. Always appreciate your help on these things.

Yeah I’m sending them a message about it too, I imagine they may be aware given it is a website issue, but the more nudges the better.

As a 25 year IT veteran I’d actually guess they aren’t aware it’s broken LOL. I agree the more nudges the better.

They replied back yesterday and confirmed they could reproduce the error and escalated it and said they would reply with an update…at least they were responsive

Yeah, hopefully it will be resolved soon. I am not sure if they will push a fix for it outside of the normal update schedule or if it will go out with a weekly update.
