Is there ANY way to turn off the green status light on an IQ panel 2? Ours is kept in our bedroom and the light is pretty bright in a dark room. After the last update I noted the light was out for a while. Within a day it was back on and I don’t see any way to turn it off.
Anyone?
No there is no way to turn off the status LED short of turning off/removing power as far as I am aware, but we will double check with Qolsys and see if that is a planned/possible option. We will post any response here.
LED indicators are common on panels. In general if you believe that you may be sensitive to the light of the indicator LED it would be best to install the primary panel outside of the sleeping area.
If you still want local control of the system in the bedroom, the IQ Panel 2 IQ Remote secondary keypad could be used. The IQ Remote does not have the same LED indicator and may be better suited to the bedroom use case since it produces no light with the screen off.
