Trying to install Linear Garage Door Opener

I’ve installed a Linear GD00Z-5 garage door opener. I’ve linked it to my GC2 and it seems to be recognizing it in the system just fine. However, I can’t get my Alarm.com ap to recognize it in the Ap and thus cant control the garage door. I read something that I may need to update my firmware. I’m currently running 1.10 How do I update the firmware when I have a Mac? Can the firmware be updated over the air? Help

Correct, firmware required for GD00Z functionality is 1.13 or higher.

How do I update the firmware when I have a Mac?

If you have a MAC you can run an instance of windows via virtual machine software to use the update cable, or of course borrow a pc to perform the update.

Can the firmware be updated over the air?

Yep, OTA updates are available. If you have a Go!Bridge connected for broadband signaling, OTA updates can be pushed free of charge.

If it is sent over the cellular connection there is currently a $10 one time data fee. If you would like to request an OTA, please send our customer service team a secure message here and they will be able to help get you started!
