2Gig GC2 with Vivint. Ordered and received the new modem. Went through the steps to swap out the old modem, plugged everything back in, and
performed the cell radio test. It succedded and the radio status says
registered. However when I go to the System Manager page I cannot
submit my information. It says:
“It looks like your order has not yet been processed. When your order
has been shipped by our team you will receive a Welcome to Surety
email containing your tracking info and instructions to activate your
system here.”
The Welcome email only told me to go to the System Manager page and setup my info there but I can’t.
I understand that the next step should be to trigger an alarm and wait
for someone to call but if I don’t have my emergency password and call
list set up, how can this happen?
It looks like a bug slipped through in a release we just did and you were the first to catch it. I’m very sorry for the inconvenience. Can you try again and let me know if it works for you now?
I’m now having a problem adding a keyfob - when I go into system configuration it says “Feature Disabled” - in reading other posts, it seems I may need to get someone to remotely flip a switch to enable this?
That would indicate that your panel previously had programming locked out and is still locked. Now that it is communicating with our service, I can send a command to open that up for you.
Please allow 5 minutes or so for the commands to complete. Your system configuration should then be open and accessible via the default installer code 1561.
Happy to help! Make sure to change your installer code to one of your choosing. This can be done at the panel under Q43 in programming or by using the Surety System Manager and remotely resetting the installer code.
