It is early December 2023 now. Back in April 2023, I had a low battery alert in a glass break sensor. I changed the battery in the sensor and acknowledged the alert. The alert has been silenced, my security button is green, all sensors are active, none are bypassed and the system works flawlessly. The issue is that even though the low battery trouble has been corrected, the alert was acknowledged, I still see the solid yellow triangle with the exclamation point on my display Home Screen.
When I tap the alert, it shows the date and time of the original alert and when it was acknowledged. When I go back to the Home Screen, there’s the solid yellow triangle with the exclamation point again. I cannot clear that symbol from here screen.
How can I remove that solid yellow visual alert from my screen.
Hi Surety (Jason), thanks for the quick reply. So tampering the device activated a tamper alarm. When I reinstalled the device a few minutes later, only the tamper alert disappeared. The previously acknowledged battery alert is still there.
I am not seeing a Surety subscription tied to this username so I am not able to corroborate any details on the back end, if you are still seeing a low battery alert which has not resolved, the only next step is to replace the batteries.
It could be that the batteries that were inserted were old, or it could be that the status simply didn’t reach the panel when it was originally resolved.
Open the sensor, remove the batteries, leave it off for 2 minutes. Then plug in the batteries. If no result, try new ones.
Hi, there should be a subscription associated to the email address this message and reply was sent to/from.
Thanks for the reply, I did as you suggested and changed out the last set of new batteries, with a brand new, purchased today set. Even volt meter tested the ones just removed as well as the brand new ones and all are between 2.9v (both of the ones removed) and 3.3v (both just installed ones). The panel is still showing the acknowledged low battery alert from April. Hmmm…

In general however, is this a 2GIG GB1-345? I have actually encountered a similar issue with one on my own system years ago. The GB1 was unable to register the new voltage levels and in my case even failed to power up properly with multiple new sets of batteries. I believe we have had a couple other reports that are similar.
I would try deleting that sensor zone, exit programming, and re-adding it to the panel. Does that resolve the error?
