Hello. I will soon be moving to a different house which has an existing NX-8V2 based system (monitored via landline). Does your company support this system, and if so, what system modifications will be necessary in order to enable Alarm.Com based monitoring?
The Interlogix NX is indeed one of the compatible panels. We do not directly sell peripherals for the system, but yes, it can be monitored.
You would just need an unregistered 3G module as with other systems. Attached is the installation instructions and description of the Verizon version.
I’ve ordered the 3G module. When it arrives, It looks like I’ll need your assistance to associate the module with my Alarm.com account (or a new account, if that is necessary), as described on page 5 of the installation guide that you provided. Does that match your understanding?
Thanks.
If you do not have a suretyDIY account yet, you would just order service.
If you are a current suretyDIY customer and have an account, there are a few things to consider:
- If you are moving, you’ll want to provide our team with your updated address information. What you need in order to notify us of a change of address can be found here.
This will give our team members what they need to update your central station records and ensure a smooth transition.
-
We would need the new module serial number, yes. This can be applied to your current account, which will then have Alarm.com repopulate with the new sensor and device information from your new system once a cell phone test is run on the new panel and you connect it to our service.
-
Another option, since you are moving to a new location with a new panel, is that you can cancel the current service and purchase a new service plan when you move, but it is not necessary. It may be easiest since all of your Alarm.com information and sensors will change regardless, or if there will be any time in between when you are out of the current location and when you need service at the next.
I am a current SuretyDIY customer.
I am moving, but I won’t be vacating my existing home for a few months, so I would like to maintain security coverage at both addresses until I do.
It sounds like this might get a little complicated – when the 3G module arrives, what mechanism should I use to contact suretyDIY to get everything configured?

Well that actually makes things a little easier in this circumstance. You can simply order service for the new address, the order process will provide us everything to get you set up at the new house, and you can cancel your existing service at the old house later when ready to do so.
