Tired of ADT.. Help me switch

So ADT has sent me another “notice” about increasing their fees to $48 a month just for monitoring. I’m under no contract and have old equipment in my house (with a cell modem). Do I have any options for switching to suretydiy/alarm.com with my existing equipment?

No landline, uses cell.
The main panel is a VISTA-10se
The cell box is a 3G3070-RF 3G Alarm Communicator (can’t open it to find serial/imei)

I have 3 alarm panels. Two are old ademco 6128 panels, and one is a Safewatch Pro 2000

Everything is hard-wired throughout the house. 3 door monitors, ~8 window monitors, 1 motion sensor in den, 1 alarm speaker in wall.

I don’t want to have to spend too much to replace everything, and I’m tired of contracts… I just want to have an alarm system that makes loud noises when someone enters illegally and calls the police 24/7.

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum! We are happy to help.

suretyDIY is an Alarm.com service provider. At this time, there are no Alarm.com compatible cellular communication modules for a Vista 10SE panel. The SEM (system enhancement module) requires 10P panels (I believe due to keypad addressing ability).

Switching would require a panel, communicator, and a way to use existing sensors.

The good news is that wired sensors can easily be reused with either a 2GIG TAKE-345 or a Qolsys Hardwire 16, depending on the panel you choose if buying from us. These devices add wireless capability to wired sensor circuits.

Existing keypads could not be used, but the GC2, GC3, or Qolsys IQ panel would replace one of those keypads. Secondary touchscreens are available for the IQ and GC2 (one for the GC3 upcoming) but with remote access through the Alarm.com app, it really depends on the intended use whether or not secondary keypads are needed or useful.

and I’m tired of contracts..

I’m in total agreement here.

That is great info, and the prices aren’t that bad either for the 2gig take345… cool!

PS - So there is nothing I can do with that existing cellular modem?

As your existing cellular module is not Alarm.com compatible, it would be unusable for service through suretyDIY.
