Thermostat Question for ALARM.COM ADC-T40K-HQ-AT

Im looking if there is any difference between this two thermostats:

ALARM.COM ADC-T40K-HQ-AT and ALARM.COM ADC-T40K-HD

They look identical.

ADC-T40K-HD is the one you would want, compatible with your panel.

The ADC-T40K-HQ I am not 100% sure if it was ever released. It has a built in hub and cellular communication. It looks like it was probably meant to be used on its own without a panel. There is no documentation for it available in Alarm.com. I’ve sent ADC reps a message to see if they can share any details on it.

it has been released and being sold. Do you know if you can use them regually with out a hub function just as you would with the normal one.

I don’t believe so based on what little details I’ve found. Seems like it may operate as a Z-wave controller. There are no official docs beyond a Building 36 data sheet that I was able to find.

I’m waiting on a follow up from Alarm.com. Feel free to send a pm with links to where you found it for sale, I am not seeing any.

I haven’t gotten a follow up from ADC yet on this, looks like I probably won’t hear back until tomorrow. Did you have a link where you found that model available you could send via pm?

Talk to building36 few days back and did forget to come back and mention here. HQ will work as a stand alone thermostat just like HD. Welcome screen is diffrent at boot up and that is where it gives you an option to choose.

Thanks, I am still waiting for documentation to be added to the KB but they confirmed the availability. They appear to be more expensive than the HD, but that’s expected with the hub portion.

I did get 3 of them and that are pretty nice. B36/ADC finally got it right. Put an actual hub in to a thermostat. From the 3 I got one is on a different firmware and it’s slightly different when originally setting it up. I will call my contact @ b36 to ask why.

@jwcsurety I’m sending your PM.
