Testing 2GIG and dont want siren help!

I’d like to test my 2GIG system but I do not want to listen to the siren all day. Plus it drives the dogs crazy. Is there any way around this?

You can disable the sounder for 30 minutes by navigating to the installer toolbox -> enter installer code then enable Disable Sounder.

Note that this doesn’t completely mute alarms but it does significantly reduce the volume.

A surefire way to disable the sounder is to open the panel up and unplug the actual speaker

System settings -> installer toolbox -> disable sounder.

Panel will beep upon sensor trip but siren will not sound.

Again, you can always unplug the speaker internally too.

The way I do it is I use the walk test function on the panel ( no alarms sound). No need to even call panel out.

I also test the sirens ( I have 3- main panel; TS1; and zwave siren/strobe) and 2way radio though, and for this I sound the alarm one time (after i place system on test with CS).
