Temporarily disable sensor

I have a sliding door with a normal open/close sensor on it. We had to remove the door and frame to address a water leak issue. I expect it to be 2-3 days before everything is reinstalled.

What is the best way to deal with the sensor on the door during the time it is taken apart? Should I remove it from the system and re-add it later? Or would just changing it to group 25 for now be OK?

It’s a Qolsys IQ4 panel and PowerG door/window sensor.

Either would be fine. If the sensor is undamaged and will remain on the same door you could just switch it to use Sensor Group 25 so that it does not generate any alarms for the time.
