I have existing Digital Monitoring Products (DMP), model XR20, panel with two keypads (circa 1998). 9 of 10 available zones are used with hidden door/window sensors, motion detectors, smoke detectors, basement window bar detectors. I like the sensors and would like to keep them in operation with my new 2GIG system. I do not want to use the old keypads. I read the installation instructions for the Takeover Module but they do not mention how to handle the old keypads. How should I disconnect/remove the 2 old keypads and keep using the sensors with 2GIG? Thanks…
Yes, you can just remove the old keypads from the equation. The only thing the Takeover Module works with are normally closed sensors.
