When using a Qolsys IQ hardwire takeover module, does each individual wired sensor you already have, front door, back door, motion, etc, trigger in an identifiable way, or do any/all of the wired sensors just show up as ‘hardwired sensor’? In other words, will I be able to tell which sensor tripped?
You would program a unique descriptor for each of the hardwired zones (the translator turns one for one a hardwired zone into a wireless zone). So, yes, you would know which is which.
If multiple windows, doors, or other sensors are, by contrast, wired together in series already, these would still be one zone when using the translator. (Or you would need to isolate each wire and wire it to individual zone inputs on the translator module.)
