Surveillance outdoor cameras

I want to run cat6 (power over cable) cables into attic from cameras around house, is there a solution of connecting all the cables to some unit in the attic and then for that unit to send signal via wifi to a unit inside house to record on disk and watch video on monitors. Or, is there a solution for the cameras to send signal directly to a unit in house, but I would still need to run power to the cameras. What are my options and can you be specific as possible on those 2 options and other recommended options including the hardware model numbers for all options. Thanks!
Thanks

Are you looking to use POE (power over ethernet) Alarm.com cameras, or Wifi Alarm.com cameras?

The model of camera is going to dictate the required wiring.

If you choose to go with POE camera models (like the ADC-V622, ADC-V726, ADC-V736, ADC-V826, and ADC-V836) you would want a POE solution, which would mirror what you are first describing. You could use a POE switch (your choice on model) that supports the number of cameras you are using. That POE switch would then need to be wired into your router (this is how it would generally be installed), or you could use a wireless bridge.

An easier solution is to use Wifi cameras (like the ADC-V622, ADC-V522, ADC-V722, ADC-V723) and just power them in the attic or near the camera via their plug-in power supply.

In either case there is only one option for local storage and that would be the Alarm.com SVR. The SVR (ADC-SVR100, ADC-SVR122) plugs into your router.

You can associate up to 8 Alarm.com cameras on your same LAN with each SVR. There is no special setup required for the cameras to communicate with the SVR other than the devices must be on the same network.

Where are all the available options of cameras, poe, switches, SVR, ets? Alarm.com site sid not show the product but just marketing info per equipment category, suretydiy does not show all the cameras you mentioned…can you send me a link to the products so I can look at specs? Thanks

Does the adc-v826 zoom, and if so, does it zoom by the lens or software? Thanks!

I assume you are referencing the Alarm.com Ecosystem page correct? While these are all Alarm.com compatible, it is meant more as a guide and would not have specs.

As Surety only sells a fraction of the available Alarm.com cameras, we only have specs for the following, the ADC-V622, the ADC-522, the ADC-V723, and the ADC-SVR122. Specs for each device are found through the previous links.

I will compile specs for the rest of the cameras and post them below.

Does the adc-v826 zoom, and if so, does it zoom by the lens or software? Thanks!

The ADC-V826, it is fixed and does not zoom.

Can you zoom with the software/app while viewing AND can you zoom in with the software app while recording if you needed a close up on certain cameras?

The ADC-622 is the only camera that has zoom but this is digital only. This won’t let you get a close up on an object. The lens is fixed.

Zoom features are controlled via website during live or via presets. Presets can be selected via mobile app as well.

Here are some specs for the rest of the POE cameras from the above post.

Ok thanks, I get it on the 626 optical Zooming, but can zooming also be controlled via website during live or via presets for the 826 too? Yes or no? Thanks!

The ADC-VC826 does not have zoom. Only the ADC-V622 features digital zoom.
