suretyDIY Setup In Area With No Coverage

Hello - I own a cabin up in the mountains of eastern West Virginia, where believe it or not, I get fiber optic internet service to my front door, but the only cell coverage is through Sprint. AT*T has sent me a 3G microcell - can the cellular module be linked to the microcell like a phone (via phone number), or do you provide monitoring through the 2GIG IP communicator?

Thanks

Hello and Welcome to the Forum!

AT*T has sent me a 3G microcell – can the cellular module be linked to the microcell

We have not seen positive results with that type of set-up with AT&T. The Cell Modules number is unable to be added to the Approved Numbers List, or White-list, preventing it from connecting at all.

do you provide monitoring through the 2GIG IP communicator?
We require a Valid Cellular Module with a minimum signal strength to get connected to our service. Alarm.com accounts unfortunately cannot be created without a valid cell module and initial communication occurs across cell. While IP can be used for backup, it cannot be primary communication.
