Supervisory Sensor Issue

All of my kitchen windows are on “supervisory”. how do i fix?

Are you referring to loss of supervision on a particular sensor? I am not seeing any supervisory issues on my end. Have you recently moved or removed any sensors from your system? I do see a few kitchen window sensors that were bypassed the last few armings. Are you doing any work on these sensors?

Are you still seeing the message? Through Alarm.com it would appear that there are no supervision errors currently.

To acknowledge the supervisory issue at the panel Press the * (STATUS) button or arm/disarm the system to silence the beeps. They will resume after four hours unless the problem has been corrected.

actually all my kitchen windows were opened and cleaned and since then all four get a supervisory message on key board. none of the magnetic senors were touched. is there a way to reset or something. every night when i set alarm i have to bypass and every four hours it beeps. thanks

Have you acknowledged the supervisory issue as mentioned above?

If you open an close the window, does it report to the panel?

not sure what you mean “acknowledge” the issue or close the window ? am i supposed to press a certaia button on keyboard at home?

Ah, yes, from above:

“To acknowledge the supervisory issue at the panel Press the * (STATUS) button or arm/disarm the system to silence the beeps. They will resume after four hours unless the problem has been corrected.”

If you do not acknowledge the original alert it will continue. Just for clarity, are you seeing any sort of alert when you log into Alarm.com? Or is it just at the panel?

One thing that will give us more info is whether or not the sensors are currently communicating with the panel. If you open and close these sensors, does your panel keypad indicate they open and close?

Supervision is an hourly check-in signal letting the panel know that the wireless sensors are still there and functioning. A supervision error means the sensors named did not check in during a supervision period. This can indicate one of a few things:

borderline low battery
or sensor signal interference
or sensor damage.

It looks like this might be referring to Mighty Mouse wireless sensors. These have an external antenna which is very thin. If damaged it can cause some signalling issues. Can you check to make sure these antennae are intact (about inch and a half long/2 inches)?

hi Jason
i do press the * key every time it beeps. i also checked the physical sensors on all the kitchen windows and they appear fine and not damaged. you guys installed these a few years ago. i dont think there is anything wrong with them and as all four are showing “supervisory”. i can check for antnennas when i get home
