Why does my account show two subscriptions? I only need one
Happy to assist!
It looks like an order for service was purchased but not activated.
Then a few hours later, a cellular module was purchased which comes with a complimentary month of service. This subscription was activated.
This is why there are two subscriptions.
I have cancelled and refunded the unused subscription. Depending on your payment method, this may take a few business days to post to your account.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thanks
Hi,
My motion detector keeps going off. I dont know if its a battery or something else.
I am not showing a low battery alert for the Zone 3 Motion Detector. The battery could be borderline low, which may cause issues. How old is the battery, do you know?
Unrelated, I am showing that one of your TSTATS is reporting a low battery however.
Sensors can trigger falsely for a variety of reasons. How long as this been occurring?
Common causes for false triggers can be found here:
Does the motion detector have a battery? If so it’s over 4 years old
Looks like you might be using a 2GIG TAKE-345 Hardwired-to-wireless converter. So in this case, the only battery involved with the sensor would be the one connected to the TAKE. if that battery were low, then you would see a low battery alert across a variety of sensors.
Programming looks good on the sensor, so check the following:
- Is it mounted per manufacturer instructions?
- Each Motion Detector will be designed and tested with a specific mounting height. The manual will indicate how high to mount the detector on the wall. Mounting outside of that parameter may cause unexpected behavior.
- Make sure the detector is away from air vents, fans, and drafts.
- Do not point the motion detector at windows where sunlight might shine in on the lens.
- Make sure it is properly angled per instructions if necessary.
- Is the sensitivity high?
- Often detectors will have a sensitivity setting which allows you to fine tune its operation a bit. Try lowering the sensitivity.
- Do you have pets?
- Cats are a significant false alarm hazard for motion detectors. This is due to their tendency to climb up to locations where the motion detector’s pet immunity has a harder time filtering them.
- Is the sensor pet immune? Some models of motion detector are not designed for use with pets at all.
- Try to keep furniture that pets climb on out of range.
- Is it a temperature controlled environment?
- If the sensor is installed in an outdoor/unregulated environment like a garage, barn, shed, etc., it should be an outdoor rated model. A standard indoor sensor will have a variety of potential false alarm/failure causes.
I replaced all the batteries i could and now the motion detector has a blue flashing light. The only thing I can do in device manager is rename it
If the motion detector has a sensitivity setting, it would likely be on the detector itself.
Can you send us a picture of the detector?
That looks like a Bosch Blue Line. Those do have a sensitivity adjustment on them.
On the bottom is a lock; you’ll need to use a screwdriver and turn counterclockwise to unlock it and slide the front part of the motion detector down to take it off.
Inside, there will be places to adjust the various sensitivity settings on the detector. You can refer to the manual below for information on how to adjust the settings to your needs.
