Due to a spider building a web on one of my cameras I hit my monthly upload limit a couple of days ago. When does a “new month” start? Is it the first of the next month for everybody or is it dependent on the date you originally signed up? For example, I signed up on the 21st of the month. Does my new month start on the 21st of each month?
Alarm.com video clips always go 1st to 1st. The new month for their clip limits begins on the 1st.
When an upload limit is reached, object detection or older VMD rules will stop. However, while they count toward the upload limit, alarm event generated clips are always uploaded and do not get paused due to overage.
There should be something so that when the uploads run out due to an identifiable problem and the alarm company can see that the problem is fixed then the upload count gets reset or prorated for the rest of the month. My 2 s
I agree. A spider got in front of my camera beginning of the week. By Saturday I cleaned the webs and removed the spider but now I’m stuck with no videos for rest of the month.
So seeing as how I am without video recording the rest of the month due to a spider how can I add uploads for the month? I see the option in the plans section but I do not see an option to add it. I only want to add it for this month then go back down to 3000 next month.
Changing the plan in the system manager will update it on demand for you, however you are right it wouldn’t be just for one month, it would be automatically included in future months unless you remove it later. Changes can be made at any time in the system manager.
Looking at the clip history, it looks like the Driveway camera was the one affected? The one labeled Side camera also had some runs of lots of recordings, but the driveway had many more it appears.
I’ve gone ahead and reset your video quota as a one time reset. No need to make changes in the system manager.
Thank you. I appreciate it! Yes, the driveway camera had a spider and web built on it. I will keep a closer eye on that and if needed, increase my upload limit.
