Somfy error during System check

Hello,

I have several Somfy shades in my house and use the Somfy ZRTSI as the RTS to ZWave translator. I also have the IQ 4 panel. I have the blinds on two different channels (nodes in the IQ4), some on channel 1 and some on channel 2. All the shades and the ZRTSI have operated flawlessly for a few years. A few days ago, I made two of the blinds operate on a different channel , channel 3. Added the third channel (node) to the IQ4 and all functions and schedules with all the shades work correctly.

However on the IQ4 panel, I am receiving a message during the “System Check” that shows an error for "somfy (Unknown). It doesn’t say on my end which somfy device (node) has the error. I have rediscovered the ZWave network and when I run tests on the three shade nodes in the ZWave testing area on the panel, all test are OK. I have also unplugged the Somfy ZRTSI from the wall and plugged it back in.

Any ideas on how to clear this error or do you see which SPECIFIC device in throwing the error?

Thanks!

I’m actually not seeing any trouble conditions for any Somfy node or the main controller node reported by your panel in Alarm.com. They all show normal status.

It looks like that is likely due to the fact that the panel isn’t able to identify the device type of the main Somfy controller node, it’s not a controllable device type like the virtual nodes are, and it is displaying the device as an unknown type. In Alarm.com that controller node also displays on our end as an unknown type. All the shade nodes report normally as a shade. You should be able to safely disregard it.

This may be more related to newer panel firmware rather than changes made at the Somfy controller.

Ok very good.

Thank you.
