[Solved] Does the IQ Panel 4 support the Kwikset 910 lock?

Does the Panel 4 support the Kwikset 910 (450191)? The lock is listed as supported by ADC and the previous owner said he could operate his lock with his ADC app via his old Interlogix panel.

I have been trying to link the lock with my IQ Panel 4 and have not been successful.

I have tried enrolling it as a Kwikset 910, “other z-wave lock”, and generic z-wave device. I have tried resetting the lock to factory. No luck. I moved the panel to within 4 feet of the lock for the attempts.

Any other ideas?

I have the sister to that lock (handle version rather than deadbolt) and it works fine.

First double check you have the zwave version. That lock is available in Zigbee and zwave. You’d need the zwave flavor.

Then, I’d suggest adding the lock via the iq panel directly instead of adding via the alarm.com site or app.

First step: factory reset the lock. The instructions are included with the lock and you can get them here: https://kwiksetprodstorage.blob.core.windows.net/documents/kw_is_5066071_910[zw500].pdf

Then, Before you add the lock, clear the device first:

Settings, advanced settings, installer code, installation, devices, zwave devices, clear device

Then after it clears, add it via

Settings, advanced settings, installer code, installation, devices, zwave devices, add device.

See if that is more successful. After adding this way give it some time to sync to the adc cloud before testing or trying codes. Good luck!

Clearing and Adding worked like a charm!

The only other change I made was to bring the panel within touching distance of the lock, since I read that some of the (older) locks may require <12 inch distance (vs 4-6 feet).

Thanks!
