Has anyone have any success adding any type of Solar Powered solution to run an ADC-V724X camera? I know noting is supported, but there are plenty of Trail Camera Solar Panels out there with built-in batteries that are IP67 waterproof that might work.
While there may not be a Solar Panel for the ADC-V724X, they have released the ADC-V731B that is battery powered and a Solar Panel for it
Vidail, I am aware of this new ADC Camera, however, it doesn’t have on-board recording as the older ADC-724X has, but thanks anyway for the info.
My question was for an “off the wall” un-supported solution that might be out there, as getting power to where this camera needs to mount on the house is not very easy for DIY.
The ADC-724X power supply is just a typical 12VDC 1A transformer. Any solution you can find that delivers a steady 12VDC at 1A or more would technically work.
It would void the warranty on the camera but an ADC-724X is probably already out of warranty anyway.
You would need to splice the power wires on the camera so you should have familiarity with low-voltage work if you’re going to attempt it.
It’s not something we can recommend as any mistake would risk destroying the camera, but it’s certainly possible.
