I’ve noticed that if I hit the test button on my fire alarm (either purposefully or accidentally holding the silence button more than 1 second trying to silence low battery chirp), the whole system goes off as though it’s a real fire. Is the system
supposed to react like that with just a test or silence button?
My town requires the trucks to roll even with false alarms, so it’s a bit over the top to accidentally trigger a test, have the central station call, verify it’s a false alarm, and still get a knock at the door!
