Run through the steps above for troubleshooting Offline malfunctions.

On a Smoke Detector, there are a few extra possibilities. They will generally cause a supervision offline malfunction when:

  1. They are dirty
  2. The sensor has an internal fault
  3. The sensor is expired.

If 1 or 2 are true, the detector itself would be beeping. If it is #3, it must be replaced.
