This morning I noticed my Smart Disarm did not work. I have a hardwired motion sensor on my Vista system tied to the rule for disarming. Yesterday it worked fine, but this morning ADC did not register the sensor trip but it was reported locally on the device itself. I was in the room for about 10 mins before I finally disarmed locally. My wife came out 10 mins later and the device registered the signal for that event. Is there a sleep process for a Honeywell Vista that occurs or ADC for idle during the night. Just thought it was odd that the rule worked instantly yesterday but not today.
I see that the system was disarmed at 9/9/2026 at 5:24:15 am with no activity from the motion before that. Is this the time you were having an issue with?
If it is, then it may be something with the motion as it did not trigger. When you test walk it, does it show as triggered on alarm.com?
Yes it worked during a my initial walk test. Also it shows activity right after the disarm from my wife. I also verified the relay when the light came on the sensor. The system was armed stay so I was not able to confirm fault status at the keypad.
I have some more information regarding this issue. The motion I want to use to disarm the system is a hardwired motion programmed as an interior follower on my Vista system. The motion detector passed my walk test and does signal the panel. The panel is armed in normal Stay mode using smart arming in the evening the day prior to disarm. During the day the sensor activity is reported on ADC app for this sensor but once armed no more activity is reported. I think the Vista panel’s coding is to bypass these sensor types during normal stay mode, which is why I no longer see any activity for this sensor once the panel is armed in Stay mode. Both times the smart disarm feature has worked has been when my wireless motion sensor picked me up. The primary difference is that the wireless sensor communicates through the keypad bus not the zone board. I wonder if the Vista physically shunts the signal at the board which is why ADC does not see the sensor activity. Is there a workaround for this?
I do see a firmware update for the alarm.com communicator. Alarm.com recommended upgrade the firmware and then delete the smart arm and recreate the rule.
Let me know when its okay for me to send the update. It should take under an hour but the system cannot be armed during this time

Would you check and let me know if the update has completed. Not sure if there is any indication for the end user when it complete.
It looks like it is now on the lates firmware. Try recreating your smart disarm rule and try again

Deleted rule and recreated it. Disarm behavior is the same this morning. Hardwired motion sensor did not work for smart disarm only the wireless motion. Would be interesting to see what ADC says about this feature on a Vista with an SEM.
@ryan.boder Hello I did not get a response to this request. Can ADC clarify if this feature works with an SEM300 on a Vista using hardwired motion sensors? I’m just not sure of there is any sensor communication visible to the SEM once the sensor is bypassed as there is not activity recorded for this sensor once the panel is armed in stay.
I am currently trying to get a response from alarm.com since the update did fix the issue
On 9/7/26, 1:12:49 PM it reported as a silent panic and on 9/8/26, 7:59:01 PM it reported as a High Priority tamper however I have set zone 96 to be treated as a medical alarm.
on 9/8/26, 12:53:18 PM we received a flood sensor panic for point 14 which would be treated as a flood sensor with call but no dispatch
Do you mean you set it with the monitoring station?

The medical panic and flood sensors can be differentiated and are set up properly
As for the smart arming, Alarm.com has moved up this ticket and their engineers are looking into this. I cannot confirm how long it will take before I hear back from them. It could take several days hopefully before the end of next week

@vidail thank you very much. I really wanted this feature to work so I looked at the zone types and even a follower with entry delay is bypassed at night. So there does not appear to be any other settings to use. Will be looking forward to hearing from ADC on this.

There has not been a response from alarm.com. I am reaching out to them again to ask but they always reach out to us once they get a response from the person looking into it
