We have an analog door chime, and since install our Skybell has worked fine. However I’ve noticed lately that when folks ring the bell, it will “ding” and 5-10 seconds later it will “dong”.
The Skybell is working fine otherwise, video works, notifications of motion work, etc. This is the only oddity we’ve had lately and not sure what could be causing it.
Regarding the delay in the chime, is the delay coming from the skybell itself, or the mechanical chime in the house?
The mechanical chime. Chime in the app works fine, and Skybell makes appropriate noise outside, I also just tested and noticed the indoor chime buzzes loudly between the ding and dong.
I had this exact same problem before. It’s because I had the “digital door chime (mechanical door chime indoors)” on, so I turned it off because I have standard mechanical door bell indoors.
