When these are mounted on a how with siding… They will get mounted on a slope.
they will end up pointing upward. Does a plate need to be placed under them so
they are horizontal?
There are wedge mounts. For the situation you’re describing it would depend on whether you have the Skybell Slim or the Skybell HD.
The wedge mount for the Skybell HD can tilt in any direction but the wedge mount for the Skybell Slim can only tilt horizontally.
I have a second question. I put my Qolsys Panel on a dedicated 2.4
Ghz Guest network ( only provides
access to Internet) separating it from my internal network where my
laptops, and cell phones connect.
can the Alarm.com Skybell devices reside on this ALarm wifi network or
do the cells phone apps need to be on the Same Wifi VLAN as the DoorBells.
The Skybell can be on the WIFI network with the IQ Panel. Most of the time when using the Alarm.com mobile app video is actually being relayed through Alarm.com’s servers and not streaming directly from the camera. You do use the Alarm.com app to install the Skybell in the first place. For that you should temporarily connect your mobile device to the security system’s WIFI network but after installation it doesn’t matter.
In some situations video can stream directly in your local network such when using the Fire TV or Apple TV video apps, or when streaming video to an SVR. I would recommend putting your security system devices such as Alarm.com cameras (including the Skybell), your Qolsys panel and your SVR on the same LAN. But the mobile app and website are fine on another LAN.
