Is it possible to automate a Siren Chirp every couple of minutes anytime a Door Sensor Left Open Alarm is active? I get an text now, but if I am not looking at my phone, I may miss it. I have cats and don’t want them to accidentally get out from a door left open.
Unfortunately there is not a good way to do this with an entry door.
There is a Zone Type called Day Zone (05) which, when the panel is disarmed, will cause a trouble alert at the panel which will produce intermittent beeps. However, this zone type otherwise acts like a perimeter zone, meaning it would cause an alarm immediately if opened while the system is armed.
There is no Zone type that causes a trouble alert when disarmed but acts as an Entry Exit zone while armed unfortunately.
This is certainly a good use case for such a zone type, and I am happy to push this to 2GIG as a feature request!
