Hello, Currently have a Ring system that I want to replace and will be starting from scratch. After much research I decided on a Qolsys panel and power g devices. While researching panels I learned that the iq5 panel will be released later this year… maybe 2026? Looking for advice on whether to buy the iq4 now or wait for new panel. Also, not important, but I’m having a hard time finding where to buy the new window/door sensors from dsc, the pgpx303. Any insight is appreciated.
I do not have a release date for the IQ Panel 5 yet, but I can confirm that the latest version release for the IQ Panel 4 includes support for the new PowerG Plus line of sensors. A link to the latest version release notes is below.
PowerG Plus sensors are new and do not appear to be widely available yet. I’m not seeing availability for most of them with some Google searches.
What is the time frame you are looking at to get started?
Flexible with the timeframe, however, some of my ring sensors have gone bad and I’m hesitant to replace them knowing I’m getting rid of the system. And obviously the Qolsys is more robust and better all around. I know I was asking somewhat of a personal choice. I didn’t know if you had any info that I didn’t regarding release date. I guess I just have to decide if I want to wait while using the inferior ring.
No, we don’t have any solid info on the release unfortunately. Late 2025 or early 2026 is the likely window. I would guess 2026 is more likely.
Hello. Planing on signing up for service but have been waiting for IQ 5 to be released. I found out today it was released 4 days ago and a few other providers have it in stock. Seeing if you will have in in stock soon, or if I should purchase elsewhere.
Thanks a lot
We’re working on it but it might be a month before we have them available. I’m not sure. If you’re in a hurry there is nothing wrong with ordering it somewhere else and connecting it to your account here. You’ll still get the same support from us. The only difference would be if it was defective and needed to be replaced under warranty then you would do that through the company you bought the panel from.
Hi Ryan,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Appreciate that there are options.
